The day my bed was freshly sheeted

March 16, 2011

A week in a life:

“I know you don’t like history because you’re young. But I do. I live in the past because I have no future.”

“I hate handing forumulas and saying ‘know that formula !’. It’s much better to understand it. Having said that .. here’s a formula.”

“We pay higher tax to buy cheaper goods which is bull !”

“I don’t know whether this is the right pronunciation or not because this is a French word .. FOR-FAY-TING (forfaiting)”

And the food
:

Lazy Thursdays was on. Friends cooked dinner, and my good little cousin baked a delicious cheesecake which looked like crème brulée. Unfortunately it doesn’t make that lovely cracking sound when you hit it a spoon though ! X-D

Tina’s boyfriend, Andrew, whom I thoroughly enjoyed interrogating getting to know, made capsicum soup, one of the only things he can apparently make (and it took about 2-3 hours :-P). Haha, not a bad effort but orange-coloured soup has always looked quite unpalatable to me !

Haha I love this last photo of my sister & I. I think this is pretty much our default faces in most photos (see below). Me: perky & smiley. Sister: unamused & perturbed. Mum’s subtly in the background. She doesn’t know how to smile X-D.

Oh, actually I found this one where we are both mean business. Welcome to my self-deprecating blog.

Story behind the title —

It’s been awhile since I’ve changed my sheets. Try 3 months ? I know, that’s kind of grotty. But it feels like a big task you know ? Taking everything off and then putting everything back on, and then chucking all the dirty stuff into the laundry = effort ! All done 3am this morning. I feel proud (and slightly disgusted at my laziness) ! Now I get to sleep in fresh sheets. There’s no better smell :-D (except gourmands).

Looks like fun. But I do have to say, orange color soup is a little… Off. Let’s leave it at that.

I have a Versatile Blogger Award waiting for you on my blog, too!

Haha I know, it’s slightly unnatural haha ! I’m definitely more used to drinking clear soup. Wow thanks heaps Aki ;-)
