The day I realised you weren’t as freaky & geeky as I thought

No more blogging/verbal diarrhoea till next week some time. I’m catching an early flight (forgoing sleep) to Sydney with Caitland tomorrow for a short trip over the long weekend. And then on Tuesday I’m going back to the airport to see Nicole off TT_TT. I’m not sure how I’ll survive without her for nine months (or more since she might meet a handsome Spanish cavalier and never come back) !! Who will I pig out with ? (Actually I do have a fair few friends who enjoy this .. otherwise they wouldn’t be my friends X-D) Who will speak franglais with me ? Who will laugh at my lame jokes ? I’m probably going to develop an unhealthy habit of talking to myself. Wait. I already do that.

So the moral of the above paragraph is that everyone is leaving me. First it was Tina, and soon it will be Nicole & my another good friend, Sara. I know I’m being emo and a-little-bit-dramatic. But it’s my space so PUTAIN ! :-P

Anyway, here’s a cover I did for a friend, Rachel. It’s a cover of Howie Day’s ‘Collide’. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of this song mainly due to the sappy lyrics which are kinda incomprehensible to me anyway but as long as she likes it, I’m happy ! :-D Apologies for screw ups.

Story behind the title —

There’s this person at uni who reminds me of Haverchuck (not an insult .. he’s actually one of my favourite characters) from the *awesome* show Freaks & Geeks. But I realised, just because you have a braces and a contagiously geeky laugh does NOT make you freaky & geeky .. unfortunately. Disappointing. I thought ‘wow .. this is going to be an awesome class’. But everyone’s trying to be ‘cool’ these days with their parties, and their designer drugs, and generic taste in music. Why ?! Haverchuck was pretty interesting, in my mind. And you were too.
