Mookxi’s guide on how to study

Step by step — with pictures ! Sorry about the crappy quality of images, by the way. This is due to crappy quality of iPhone pictures. Plus I gave my G-9 to sister cause’ she’ll probably use it more than me.

1st. Acquire a large table for study. Then clutter it up with ANY and ALL study materials you can find – calculators, pencil case, paper, notes, folders, laptop, cup with caffeine in it, food, or eaten food, textbooks, diary  — you get the picture.

2nd. Make sure you have LOTS of pens, pencils, and highlighters at your disposal. You should probably take all of them to the exam just in case you have really bad luck and they all run out.

Oh ! And don’t forget the coloured ones too. Some examiners give extra marks for pretty, coloured graphs ! I mean, I would if I was an examiner. Shows style and class X-D. Nah, I kid. It just makes it more fun to write, in my opinion.

3rd. The way I try and get material into my brain is to write them out on cue cards, especially for revision later. Read your lecture notes, remember the objectives, and summarise them. You can also write Q&A’s on them, vocabulary, blah blah blah depending on what subject your doing. Finance tends to have lots of equations and theory to remember so I find that getting huge chunks of content down into one single cue card is quite effective.

Yeah.. there’s a lot. Get your parents or sister to test you X-D Or bribe someone with FOOD ! (Usually works with my sister).

4th. After you’ve got the content down pat test do a couple of practice exams to see where your weaknesses lie and work on those thereafter. Below is a paper for managerial finance (yuck, yuck, yuck — Ainsley will back me up on this, I’m sure).

5th. A necessary part of the revision process — milk to dip oreos in. Mmm..

To be honest though .. I’d really just prefer to collapse into bed. I can’t even walk into my room without feeling sleepy. I know it’s got to do with the heavy smell of sleep in there. It’s hypnotic. Which is why I’ve been studying in the dining room X-D.

See y’all after the apolocalypse !
