24. Eat an apple a day for a month (test out the ‘apple a day keeps the doctor away’ theory) (1/31) (June 15th – July 15th 2009)

I’ve attempted this twice already ! Hopefully this time I will actually be able to access a steady supply of apples ! Fuji’s, Granny’s, Pink Ladieswatch out ! ;-DDD *fingers crossed*. This will be a good goal to achieve considering dad keeps telling me how I don’t eat enough fruits (even after I’ve moved out X-D.. what loving parents). The thing is, I’m really picky:

  • Love mandarins but must be refrigerated before eating because I like them cool 8-D
  • Bananas are good but prefer to eat them when they’re a little less ripe (yellow & no traces of blackening)
  • I eat my grapes frozen !!
  • Small apples (like miniature fuji’s) > normal apples
  • “Please peel my orange daddd !!”

Oh dear, I’m really terrible. But terribly loved :-D <— how unsubtly cheesy was that ?! ;-F

21. Drink only water for a week (22nd October – 28th October 2007)

I’m glad I did this sooner rather than later because I think my coffee/tea habbit has been aggrevated due to exams >.< Anyway, if you’re wondering why I’m only blogging about this now, it’s because I realise that I have just a little over a year to finish all these goals and one of them was to blog about each of the tasks I finished. I’ve been quite lazy to do that so better late than never right ? ^^

Speaking of exams, I’ve been staying up till 6am every morning studying. I actually prefer studying from 12am – 6am because the world is so much more quiet then. It feels like everyone’s asleep and it’s just you and your books (depressing). Also, one of the rewarding things about it is seeing the sunrise. They’re so beautiful and different each morning. I love sunrises over sunsets because you feel like you’ve been rewarded for the studying you’ve just done and it’s a sign that you can go to sleep now X-D Hahah. Obviously, my sleep cycle has been totally screwed up.

This is the view from outside my window.

Jolie, n’est pas ? :-D Okay, I admit, this was taken during autumn. Sunrise isn’t as early anymore ! :-/

20. Do a fitness class at least once a month (10/33)

I love fitness class [more than I thought I would] ! It’s just so much more fun when you’re working out with friends & family. Plus Joe [who takes Body Vibe @ Oxygen in Camberwell] is such an awesome instructor. He makes it really enjoyable, so for anyone who’s contemplating taking a fitness class, I’d really encourage it. I think if you go with friends/family/whoever, it makes you so much more accountable to exercise. Plus a lot of people don’t do it because it’s ‘exercise’. Just find an activity that you enjoy—maybe dancing? The more you start to move the more you’re going to want to move. It may sound silly but it’s true. Start small and just add a little more movement each week.
