101 Things in 1001 Days
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Some common goal setting tips:
-
Be decisive. Know exactly what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it.
-
Stay Focused. Any goal requires sustained focus from beginning to end. Constantly evaluate your progress.
-
Welcome Failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.
-
Write down your goals. It clarifies your thinking and reinforces your commitment.
-
Keep your goals in sight. Review them frequently, and ensure that they are always at the forefront of your thinking.

Love some of the items on your list! I’m in the process of getting my list together and checking out others for inspiration - maybe I should make coming up with 101 things one of my tasks LOL
Thanks for your comment on my list. Judging from yours you seem pretty creative. I read your poems and they are good, you should definitly post more. About visiting the cinema alone, I have done that a couple of times. Of course I miss doing snappy remarks when it´s a sucky movie or grabbing hands during a scary one but…I don´t know, it feels kinda liberating I guess to just walk in there and sit by yourself. Anyway, good luck on completing all your tasks. And uhm..I might be the only one who doesn´t know this, but what the heck is snail mail?
Seems you’re making good progress! Keep it up.
As for 75. Get rid of my nail biting habit: that’s going to be a tough one! I know form experience. But i also know you can achieve this.
Wow. You have a lot of completed goals here. I’m just getting started, but I see we have some goals in common like doing Nanowrimo. I’ve wanted to do Nanowrimo for the last two years, but it seems that life intervenes. I think I’m going to take time off from work in November, just to do Nanowrimo. Congrats on your progress with your goals.
Nice list! You’re a bit braver than I am with a few things, that’s for sure.
PS. Good luck with your Ps!
What a great site…I went thru all of you lists.
I liked this blog and the want list the most!
Your 19 yr young body does not keep up with your 30 yr young brain!

Come back and see me soon…there are more lists on my blog I just haven’t brought them forward when I changed hosts.
Southern smiles and world peace,
